Well what a start to the new term! There are many children taking part in the lunchtime and after school clubs, and it is great to see children taking part in new sports. The Fencing, Athletics and Basketball clubs are fully subscribed and have long waiting lists. If your child did not get a place this time, they will have another chance after October half term. Well done to all the children taking part in the before school clubs, great to see them all taking part in exercise at 8.00 am! Mandy Morris
Competition Friday is now up and running. This half term we are playing inter house basketball matches on Friday lunch times. The first match took place last Friday with Tindal v Hurst - score Tindal 0 Hurst 8. The next match is Crompton v Marconi. Good luck to both teams!
Calling all budding sports stars
If you take part in any clubs outside school and have achieved any certificates/badges please could you bring them in so we can put a copy of them on our PE Achievement Wall for all the other children to see. Please hand these to Mandy.
Boys Football Tournament Year 5/6
Tag Rugby Year 5/6 Boys and Girls
Eight Year 6 boys took part in a Football Tournament on Wednesday 25th September at Hylands School. Our Captain was Ben A and it was our first event of the new term coached by our new teacher Mr Manning.
The boys did really well coming third overall with 10 points, but only on goal difference. However, we were the only team to beat Writtle Junior School who were the overall winners with 12 points, so we were really happy with that. It was a great effort by all the team. Well done! A big thank you to Mr Manning, Mrs Leeson and Mrs Bearman for taking the children to the event. Good Luck for your next match!
